2010 World Cup – Yellow Unite

Amsterdam-based creative agency RIOT hired us to help them create a one-of-a-kind facebook promotion. Its goals were to celebrate the 2010 World Cup spirit of African unity and support Nelson Mandela’s charities in a fun way.  So, during World Cup, adidas football’s facebook profile became the home of Yellow Unite, with a facebook tab where football fans could buy an adidas UMU (“Unite Mzantsi Unite”) band, learn about Nelson Mandela’s 46664 charities, watch videos, upload photos and more. When it launched, ours was one of the most sophisticated applications that had ever been created for a facebook profile page—with a surprising amount of functionality housed within an elegantly simple flash interface.

Fans could add their faces to an ever-growing Yellow Unite Team Photo

And they could buy an UMU or donate to 46664 charities without leaving our Yellow Unite experience

They could also click to share Yellow Unite messages to their own facebook walls. Or enter to win a trip to Madrid for an international 46664 benefit concert
